What it is
The Cyprus Philatelic Society, headquartered in Nicosia, organises a year-round programme of members’ meetings, annual exhibitions, and exchanges covering British Cyprus issues (1880–1960, with the high-value Queen Victoria, Edward VII, George V, George VI, and Elizabeth II definitive runs), Republic of Cyprus issues from independence (1960) onwards, the Turkish Cypriot Postal Authority issues from 1974 onwards (a separately catalogued and politically sensitive specialty area), and the Cyprus revenue and fiscal issues.
