The Berlin Vintage Toy Fair is a weekend gathering of European vintage toy and tin-plate collectors, held annually at Berlinu2019s Messe complex. The fair is particularly strong for German pre-war tin toys, vintage Mu00E4rklin railway sets, and East-German Trabant-era playthings.

What to expect

Around 150 specialist dealers, with a heavy concentration of pre-1970 European pieces. Several specialist auctioneers also preview lots at the fair. Admission is reasonable and the venue is family-friendly.

Practical notes

The fair is reached easily via S-Bahn from central Berlin. Dealers accept euros and most also accept card payments. Saturday afternoon is the busiest period; Sunday morning is typically the quietest.
