9. Final Fantasy VII Sealed (1997 PlayStation)

10. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998 N64)

Sealed first-print Ocarina of Time in Wata 9.8 A++ has sold for $60,000-$100,000.

11. EarthBound (1995 SNES)

Sealed first-print EarthBound complete with the strategy guide reaches $20,000-$40,000.

12. Chrono Trigger (1995 SNES)

Sealed first-print Chrono Trigger in Wata 9.6+ has sold for $25,000-$45,000.

Authentication and grading

Wata Games and VGA dominate sealed video game grading. CGC entered the market in 2021 and is gaining acceptance. Buy graded; never buy raw sealed games claiming first-print provenance without a major auction house behind them. The 2021 Wata controversy exposed market manipulation; transparency has since improved.
