Authentication and grading
For Warhol, the Andy Warhol Authentication Board (now closed) authenticated works through 2011; provenance from Christie’s, Sotheby’s, or Phillips is now standard. For Banksy, Pest Control authentication is essential. For all printmakers, an unbroken provenance chain from the artist’s gallery is non-negotiable.
