The H-seam is the H-shaped pattern of factory shrinkwrap seams visible on the back of most sealed NES, SNES, Genesis, and N64 boxes. A horizontal seam crossed by a vertical seam forms the letter H. Authentic factory H-seams are tight, geometrically consistent, and difficult to reproduce with consumer shrink equipment, making them a primary authentication point for sealed video games.
