The process of submitting an already-graded card to a different grading service in its original slab, requesting that the card receive an equivalent or higher grade in the new service. Most major services offer this through specific submission tiers.

Crossover is conservative: if the new service won’t grade at least at the original grade, the card returns in its original slab unchanged. This protects the submitter from downgrades.
