How we write, check and fund this site

Who we are

Collectibles Multiverse is published by A.I.T. Multiverse Consulting Ltd, a company registered in Nicosia, Cyprus. The site is built and run by a small team of collectors and technologists. Guides are published under the name of the editorial team, and you can reach the team through our contact page.

What we publish

• Guides: original, practical articles on identifying, valuing, storing, grading, buying and selling collectibles.
• Tools: calculators, trackers, matchers and games that run in your browser.
• Live data: buy lists posted by buyers, wanted requests, swap needs and the weekly Demand Index.
• News: headlines from collecting publishers, always linked to the original source, and a short daily briefing.

How guides are made

1. A real question first. Every guide starts from a question collectors actually ask, in groups, at fairs and through our Ask a collector tool.
2. Research. We check manufacturers' and graders' own published information, reference books, auction records and long-running collector communities. Where facts change often, such as fees and turnaround times, we say so and tell readers to check the current source rather than printing a number that will go stale.
3. Drafting with AI, openly. We use AI writing tools to help research and draft guides, in the same way many publishers now do, and we say so here.
4. Checked against sources. Facts that affect money, such as condition, grading, authenticity, selling and safety, are checked against the published sources above. We avoid printing specific values or fees, and point readers to the current official source instead. Our team is responsible for everything we publish, and we correct errors as soon as they are reported.
5. Dates. Each guide shows when it was published and when it was last updated.

Prices and values

We never invent valuations and we do not copy prices from other sites. Prices on buyer pages and in the Demand Index are what named buyers say they pay. Guides explain how to research value yourself; they do not give values for specific items. Nothing on this site is a professional appraisal.

How we use AI

• Ask a collector and the What is this? photo lookup are AI features, and they are labelled as such. Their answers can be wrong, and we say so on the page.
• The daily news briefing is summarised by AI from headlines, with links to every original article.
• Moderation of user posts uses AI to flag problems, with people making the final decisions on reports.
• We do not publish AI-generated images as photos of real items. Photographs on the site are real, credited on our credits page.

Independence from advertisers and partners

The site is funded by display advertising, affiliate links and clearly labelled partnerships. None of these decide what we write or recommend. Specifically:

• Advertisers and partners never write, edit or approve editorial content.
• Affiliate links are added after a guide is written, only where a product genuinely fits, and they are disclosed on every page. See our affiliate disclosure.
• Sponsored placements are labelled "Sponsored" or "Partner".
• Nobody can pay to change a buyer's prices or to appear above verified buyers in search.

User-generated content

Buy lists, wanted requests, swap sheets and grail posts are written by the people who post them. Buyers confirm their listings every 90 days or disappear from search. Anyone can report a listing or message, and reports are reviewed by a person. We remove content that is misleading, unsafe, unlawful or abusive. See our terms.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, please tell us through the contact page with the page address. We check every report. When we correct a factual error in a guide, we update the "Updated" date. Significant corrections are noted at the end of the guide.

Privacy

We collect as little as possible: there are no accounts, private things live behind links only you hold, and we never sell personal data. Full details are in our privacy policy.
